Blythe

The Blythe is simple and elegant. I was very impressed with the quality of the dress. I've tried on so many dresses and despite the amazing price point the Blythe was exquisite and on par with dresses 3 times the price. It would have been my dress but it was no longer available in my size. I ordered a 10 and normally wear a street size 6. I think the 8 would have been almost perfect.

To my fellow curvy girls out there: this dress is gorgeous, flattering, and beautiful. However, a few things for anyone who is not 5’10”: if you are not tall the waist will be too low thereby exposing even a slight hint of back fat. The cure for this is just to raise the waist to your natural waist which any seamstress can do by taking up the shoulders. Also the front is just what it looks like - an extreme plunge. If you are flat chested this isn’t an issue but if you are not serious cleavage is visible. I had my seamstress use some of the material she took off the bottom to shorten the dress (as again I am not 5’10”…) and block off some of this plunge so it is not so extreme. I just wasn’t comfortable with it being such a low drop. This change did nothing to harm the dress and made me much more comfortable dancing with my dad, and seeing relatives who might not want to see my cleavage. I added a bustle which you will also need to do. It just isn’t practical to carry the loop for the train. All of these changes basically doubled the price but I think it was completely worth it. 20 years from now I will look back on the pictures and think I looked classy and timeless without giant bows and sequins and lace everywhere and cleavage and a puffy skirt - if that’s your idea of beautiful then this dress is for you.

Very good quality and true to size based on their chart! It fit almost perfectly, but I returned it because I don't want to have my dress altered and it would need just a couple. (I live in a rural area so there aren't many options for alterations, or ones to trust anyway) Still thinking about this dress though.
