Bridal Fashion Week Recap

A new chapter in modern bridal dressing begins with Continuum, the latest collection from Jenny Yoo, unveiled at New York Bridal Fashion Week. Inspired by the ever-evolving way women dress for their wedding celebrations, the collection moves fluidly between romance and restraint, softness and definition, timelessness and something entirely new. Sculptural corsets, sweeping full skirts, intricate lace, and artful pleating and draping come together in silhouettes that feel considered yet effortless, while unexpected details bring a sense of modernity to the collection’s romantic foundation.

More than a collection of wedding dresses, Continuum is a wardrobe designed to evolve with the day. Lace toppers and veils offer new ways to layer and transform a bridal look, while fresh bridesmaid colorways introduce richer, fashion-forward hues to the celebration. From the ceremony to the last dance, each piece is designed to shift with the moment creating a wedding wardrobe that feels personal, expressive, and distinctly Jenny Yoo.

Continuum is rooted in a sense of movement — between softness and structure, romance and restraint, and the delicate and the unexpected. Across the season, tactile fabrics and dimensional details take center stage, from intricate lace and fluid draping to pleating, gathered textures, corsetry, and full silhouettes. Organic elements bring another layer of softness, with dimensional florals, deconstructed bows, and delicate appliqués appearing alongside more defined shapes. That interplay became a natural part of the collection’s visual language, with shadows of leaves projected across the walls during the shoot to create a sense of movement and light. Which then translated to our runway show where we covered the space in projections of shadows of leaves. The imagery was further grounded in natural textures, with grasses, greenery, and loose, organic florals woven throughout the set design.

The collection’s playful side comes through in unexpected details and contrasts with delicate lace paired with sculptural silhouettes, soft gathered fabrics against more defined forms, and subtle romantic details punctuated by statement-making embellishments. Sequins, beaded tassels, three-dimensional florals, and appliqué bring texture and movement to the more celebratory pieces, while lace scarves, toppers, and veils offer another way to layer and transform a look. A study in softness, texture, and contrast.
