Sustainability

Our Approach

We believe thoughtful design extends beyond silhouette and fit. While sustainability is an ongoing journey, we are committed to making more responsible choices.

We actively prioritize eco-minded fabrics. Our Italian Crepe, featured in Jenny Yoo Collection, is produced with acetate sourced from recovered yarns rather than cellulose, and viscose fibers manufactured with processes designed to protect wood and forest resources. Our Luxe Stretch Crepe, found in many Jenny by Jenny Yoo styles, is produced with 50% recycled polyester fiber content, while our Beveled Floral Jacquard—also incorporates recycled polyester fibers.

We are equally mindful of material safety and sourcing standards. Our Gillian Printed Organza, used in the Aveline gown, as well as the silk content in our Italian Taffeta introduced in styles like Celine and Sophia, utilize OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified silk yarns, ensuring textiles are tested for skin safety. Our Crinkle Habotai is made with responsibly sourced NAIA™ cellulosic fiber derived from sustainably sourced wood pulp.

Our gowns are designed in our NYC office, allowing us to closely evaluate construction methods, reduce fabric waste, and improve cutting efficiency. We partner monthly with FABSCRAP to recycle and repurpose unused fabrics.

Additionally, we donate fabrics and trims to The Fashion Class, a New York–based fashion design school for youth, and Custom Collaborative, an organization that trains and mentors low-income and immigrant women pursuing careers in the fashion industry. Also partnering with VOW for Girls events, a growing global movement that partners with brands, individuals and the wedding industry to end the international child marriage crisis.
